THE COLLEGE CORNER CAFE is coming to Commerce Texas - october 2011
Larry "Smitty" Smith, is a successful restaurateur in Colorado, California and Texas over the last 40 years. He has met up with his ol' high school friend Kenny Daniel. Together they form a good team with years of experience in the food, bar and music industry. All of their experience is being put together to build a showplace in Commerce. They are using all the best of food, wine, spirits and live music to make a one of a kind place everyone will enjoy and come back to.The building is a two story hotel built in the 1920's. At one time it was known as a five & dime drugstore. Various businesses have come and gone since then. Back in the 1960's it was called The Charquette, a favorite burger joint for the students. We will be bringing that back at The College Corner Cafe blending the new and the old. The building will get a 100% make over. A large dining room next to a one of a kind bar and another dining area which will also be used for live music. The decor will be a large collection of music memorabilia from Willie to Waylon, SRV, Fleetwood Mac, the Doobie Brothers and so many more. The collection alone will be a drawing card for folks to come by and check-out again and again.
The 
menu speaks for itself as Larry has done it again. Great southwestern food, delicious desserts, hot & cold drinks. A good selection of domestic & imported beers will be on tap. We offer a wine list featuring Texas Wines. Larry has impeccable taste in hiring the best and most reliable staff to serve you the best food and beverages in town. Come on by, have a cold one and a great burger with Smitty while Kenny performs your favorite music.
